| DENITIA ODIGIE |
|
Denitia Odigie is a powerful young singer/songwriter who's been enchanting audiences in Nashville and around the south for the last few years. Her music is a mix of exuberance and love with sardonic insight, all underwritten by stunning emotional power. Or, as the Nashville Scene describes it, it's "moody, stripped-down folk that's as mysterious and intriguing as her bewitching demeanor." She's on tour this spring (with Jenny Wood and others), so check her out live or at myspace/denitiaodigie. (http://www.myspace.com/denitiaodigie/) For those unfortunate enough not to have met her in person, her last name's pronounced "Oh-DEE-gee". Denitia joins Dan Cohen (http://www.myspace.com/dancohen615/), Doug Powell (http://www.myspace.com/dougp/), Jace Everett (http://www.myspace.com/jaceeverett/), and The Levees (http://www.myspace.com/theleveesmusic/) on the WBP roster -- a great range of styles, promising some great collaborations and even better music.
